Free Public Toilets
Looking for free public toilets in Howth? You will be pleased to know there are a few options. Public toilets are located at the east end of Howth harbour, at the west end of Howth harbour and at the Summit Car Park.
Dart Station
The Howth Dart station is conveniently located centrally at the West end of Howth harbour. This is one of the best ways to travel to Howth especially if you want to enjoy a drink in one of the pubs.
Important: Please be aware that taking the Dart to ‘Howth Junction’ will not take you to Howth. Make sure to take the Dart for ‘Howth’.
Travel Cards
Leap Visitor Card
A Leap visitor card is a cost effective way to use public transport throughout Dublin. Get unlimited travel for your selected time period on Dublin City Bus services (operated by Dublin Bus and Go-Ahead Ireland), Luas (tram), DART and Commuter Rail in Zone 1: TFI Dublin City.

- 7 days (168 hours) – €24.00

TFI Leap Cards
Alternatively you can purchase a Leap Card at 1000’s of locations nationwide for a small fee.
Having a Leap card means you can avail of the TFI 90 minute fare meaning you can use the bus, Luas, or Dart within 90 minutes for a flat rate. The price depends on the zone. Howth is in Zone 1, the rate is currently €2.00.
If you are not planning on using public transport often then a regular leap card may be better value than a Leap Visitor Card.
Parking
Howth has a number of free car parking spaces around the marina. There are also paid spaces on the street. Please be aware that summer months get particularly busy, at peak season public transport is advised.
